Dr. Samantha Nastasi is a skilled ophthalmologist currently practicing at the Robson Eye Institute in Palm Harbor, FL. With a passion for eye health and a dedication to providing high-quality care to her patients, Dr. Nastasi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

Dr. Nastasi’s journey in medicine began at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she earned her MD with Honors Distinction in May 2019. During her time there, she also received the prestigious UFCOM Alumni Scholarship Award for Academic Excellence, Professionalism, and Humanism in September 2018. Prior to her medical degree, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, graduating Summa Cum Laude as the Valedictorian of Microbiology and Immunology.

Following her medical training, Dr. Nastasi pursued further specialization in ophthalmology. She completed her Transitional Year at HCA Healthcare Brandon Regional Hospital/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2020. Subsequently, she attended Emory University School of Medicine, where she completed her Ophthalmology Residency from 2020 to 2023. Her residency at Emory University provided her with valuable experience and exposure to a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nastasi has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and research. She has published articles in reputable medical journals, including “Journal of Glaucoma,” and has presented her research findings at various scientific conferences and grand rounds.

As a member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Nastasi stays at the forefront of her field and actively engages in ongoing education and networking opportunities. This ensures that she remains up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in ophthalmology.

Dr. Nastasi’s dedication to her profession extends beyond her clinical work. She has served as a tutor and teacher, imparting her knowledge to aspiring medical students and high school students preparing for standardized tests. Her volunteer work includes providing ophthalmology services to underserved communities through organizations like Remote Access Medical Volunteer and Equal Access Clinic.
