During her time there, she also received the prestigious UFCOM Alumni Scholarship Award for Academic Excellence, Professionalism, and Humanism in September 2018. Prior to her medical degree, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, graduating Summa Cum Laude as the Valedictorian of Microbiology and Immunology.
Following her medical training, Dr. Nastasi pursued further specialization in ophthalmology. She completed her Transitional Year at HCA Healthcare Brandon Regional Hospital/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2020. Subsequently, she attended Emory University School of Medicine, where she completed her Ophthalmology Residency from 2020 to 2023. Her residency at Emory University provided her with valuable experience and exposure to a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nastasi has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and research. She has published articles in reputable medical journals, including “Journal of Glaucoma,” and has presented her research findings at various scientific conferences and grand rounds.
